I absolutely love taking outdoor family sessions photos. They're such a fun way to capture those relaxed candid moments, where nothing is too posed. Outdoor family sessions are all about having fun with me capturing those special moments for you to cherish for many years to come. For me, the real magic can be found in the photos with those natural authentic smiles and laughs so I like to stand back, watch and photograph the action as it happens!
There's so many beautiful locations to explore in Reigate Surrey or Windsor Berkshire and I'm happy to recommend a location or you are more than welcome to pick the location if you have one in mind. One of my favourite locations is the Windsor Long Walk, where you can find the most beautiful backdrops/scenery.
Lets talk about lighting, Golden hour is that magical time of day when the sun creates a warm, golden light. It typically occurs right after sunrise or right before sunset and tends to be one of the most beautiful times for outdoor family photography. This is because the sun is lower in the sky and its a soft light source which creates natural shadows that can be used to create stunning photos. The colours are also warmer during this time, creating a dreamy and romantic atmosphere perfect for capturing those special moments between family members.
However, as a dad I also know that little ones get tired and ratty so to capture the best of your little ones, that might not always be possible. I'm always flexible on times for a family session and try to work times around your children to ensure they are at their happiest! If its a overcast day that even better as the light is very soft from any direction. You can shoot at midday and create beautiful family photos any time of day.
