As a former school photographer, who use to work for one of the UK leading school photography company for only 6 months, I decided to leave due to the lack of care for nice photos. I can safely tell you please avoid getting your photos from the school as they are always extremely rushed due to the pressure of having to get through the whole school by the end of the day. As well the company I worked for use to not typically employ actual photographers instead tend employ people who did not really have a passion for photography and just needed a day job.

This timeframe is perfect for getting to know your child, I also find the parent being present helps them relax, so it easier to capture those stunning natural smiles as well as some candid school photos. Plus, you'll have the opportunity to make any last-minute adjustments to their hair or clothing.
